What model is for me?
When choosing a vehicle to import, please consider:
- Import Eligibility: There are government import
schemes that allow only certain vehicles to be imported into Australia.
These schemes and the models of vehicle that are eligible are explained
at Import Schemes and Eligible Vehicles
- Finance: Needs to be arranged
differently because the vehicle is not in the country when purchased.
Read our finance advice for the best options.
- Vehicle specifications
and performance: Choosing a practical vehicle for your requirements
is important. If you intend to use the vehicle as a family car, it
would
be impractical to import a modified coupe with a 700HP engine. There
are many coupes, RV’s, sedans, people movers and also wagons that
are now eligible to be imported under the new SEVS import scheme.
Most vehicles
can be researched by reading our vehicle reviews, this section also
shows vehicle budgets and market values and applicable import schemes.
- Insurance: Some young drivers should research insurance before they look at
what model of vehicle they would like to import. Sometimes a non-turbo
model
is more practical for young drivers who can’t afford high insurance
but still want an import for all the other benefits.
It is a good idea to
look closely at the type of vehicle that would best suit you prior
to commencing a search. If we place a bid on a vehicle on your behalf,
it
is impossible to reverse the decision. You may forfeit your buying
deposit if you change your mind after we have purchased your vehicle.
INTERESTING NOTE: In a lot of cases the recognized sports cars that
you love have non-turbo and sedan versions available. Often these are
cheaper to purchase than the more recognized coupe and turbo versions. |
